Enrofox Oral-Enrofloxacin Oral Solution 10%

Composition

Each ml contains Enrofloxacin 100mg.

Indications

For the treatment of infections of the alimentary and respiratory tracts of bacterial or mycoplasmal origin (e.g. pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, coli-bacillosis and salmonellosis), where clinical experience supported where possible by sensitivity testing of the causal organism, indicates enrofloxacin as the drug of choice.

Target Animals

Calf, chicken and turkey.

Dosage and Administration

For oral administration. 

Calf: 2.5 mg Enrofloxacin per kg bodyweight (5 ml per 50 kg) daily for 3 days.  

Chicken & turkey:10 mg of Enrofloxacin per kg live bodyweight per day for 5 consecutive days, corresponding to 50 ml of product per 100 litres water.

Medication of the water supply should be continuous during the treatment period and no other source of water should be available.

Warnings, Precautions, etc.

1. Do not use in layers during laying period.

2. Absorption of enrofloxacin may be reduced if the product is administered together with substance containing magnesium or aluminium.

Withdrawal Period

Meat & offal:

Calf: 8 days

Chicken & turkey: 4 days
